Manny Pacquiao’s world title clash with Adrien Broner to be shown live on free-to-air ITV4

’s world title defence against brash American Adrien Broner will be shown live for free on ITV4.

Filipino legend Pacquiao puts his WBA welterweight crown on the line against Broner in Las Vegas on January 19.

The fight will be shown on ITV as part of the network’s new deal with Al Haymon’s Premier Boxing Champions.

Pacquiao, now 40, will be entering the ring for the 70th fight of his career to defend his 11th world title belt against the younger Broner.

On the undercard, ITV will also broadcast the clash between Badou Jack and Marcus Browne for the WBA interim light heavyweight title.

A week earlier, on Sunday January 13, IBF super-middleweight world champion Jose Uzcategui defends his title against unbeaten challenger Caleb Plant.

Uzcategui vs Plant will mark the start of ITV’s landmark deal with PBC, which brings boxing back to regular ITV viewers.

The shows will be promoted in this country by Poxon Sport and Richard Poxon said: ‘This is an incredible opportunity for boxing and sports fans.’

The deal between ITV and PBC, announced last week, guarantees a minimum of 15 televised events each year for viewers on these shores.

Over the next three years, fights from across the world will be shown on ITV, ITV4, ITV Hub and some will be shown on ITV’s pay-per-view channel, ITV Box Office.
