Wins at : XXXTentacion gets another after death recognition almost one year after untimely death.


On Wednesday night (May 1), the late rapper’s 2017 collection, ‘17‘, won the 2019 Billboard Music Award for Top R&B Album. The killed rapper, who was shot in Deerfield Beach a year ago, packed up at least 10 nominations in categories like Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Streaming Songs Artist and Top R&B Male Artist.

XXXTentacion’s most recent award wasn’t broadcasted during the nationally televised event, anyway the rapper’s mom still grasped her child’s most recent success in an Instagram story.

“#17Forever #LLJ,” Cleo composed over her child’s triumphant declaration.

This isn’t the only award XXXTentacion has won since he passed away. On Oct. 7, 2018, X’s mom Cleopatra Bernard, X’s previous manager Solomon Sounds and the late rapper’s legal counselor Bob Celestin accepetd the award for Best New Hip-Hop Artist on his behalf at the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

At that point, after two days, X’s 17 award won him another post mortem award at the 2018 American Music Awards for Favorite Soul/R&B Album. Bernard chose to acknowledge the honor for her child’s sake without anyone else.

“I am regarded to acknowledge this honor for the benefit of my child,” Bernard said in her discourse. “I might want to thank the AMAs, his fans and to everybody who made this conceivable. Much thanks to you folks, I value it.”
